Student Meals

Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are pleased to inform you that the Bettendorf Community School District will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for School Year 2024-2025. The following schools will be participating:

  • Neil Armstrong Elementary

  • Mark Twain Elementary

  • Grant Wood Elementary

  • Edison Academy

What does this mean for you and your children attending these buildings?

Great news for you and your students!  All enrolled students of Mark Twain Elementary, Neil Armstrong Elementary, Grant Wood Elementary or Edison Academy are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2024-2025 school year.  No further action is required of you.  Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.  There will be a charge if your student takes ala carte items such as just milk, extra items, or individual items not making a complete meal.

To be eligible for educational fees waived, you will need to complete a Free and Reduced Application on the Parent Portal or fill out a Household Survey at your participating school. This survey can act as a Free and Reduced Application for your students who do not attend these buildings. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us at 563-359-3681.
