Upcoming events/deadlines:   

  • If you are a second-quarter early grad and have not picked up your yellow sign-out sheet from Mrs. Buntemeyer in Student Services please do so as soon as possible. The forms need to be completed and turned in by the end of the day TODAY.

  • LULAC will be having a bake sale Weds. and Thursday before school and during PRIDE to raise money for a LULAC scholarship.

  • Our 3rd Quarter Blood Drive is happening on February 4th at BHS in the Commons. Sign up to donate now! It only takes roughly 30 minutes and you can save up to 3 lives with your donation. You must be 16 or older to donate. If you're 16 you must have a permission form. Stop into Student Services to pick up your permission form now, even if you've donated before you must have a new permission form each time. Sign up here!

  • Please consider purchasing a shirt, long sleeve, or sweatshirt to honor Jakob Hoffman on senior night for the Boy's Basketball Team on 2/14. Our goal is to have the entire student section wearing these shirts. Here is the form to fill out. All proceeds are going to BYBA, Bettendorf Youth Basketball Association.

  • If you missed the news before, BHS is going to England and Scotland in Spring 2026! If you’re interested in learning more about this travel opportunity, there will be an informational parent and student meeting on Thursday, January 23rd at 6 pm in the BHS library.   • Students and Staff, it’s that time of the year again – time for our January Snowy Coloring Contest! 🌨️☃️❄️We’re excited to invite you to join in the fun and embrace the ice and snow! Here’s how you can participate:

  • 🎨 Pick up a coloring sheet at the Bettendorf High School Library

  • 📅 Entries are due by Friday, January 24th – don’t wait, get creative today!

  • 🏆 Winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 28th!

There are two divisions:

-Student Division 🧑

-Staff Division 👩🏻‍🏫

So, whether you’re a student or a staff member, there’s a chance to show off your artistic skills and take home some sweet prizes! 🍬🏆🍬Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful snowy snowmen masterpieces!   • Gray Matters Collective: There will be a dance fundraiser to support mental health awareness/resources in the Quad Cities. It will be on Saturday, January 25th from 7-10 PM at the Holiday Inn in Rock Island. 

  • Teen Movie Night! Go see Mean Girls at the Bett Public Library on Friday, January 24th from 6-8 PM. Scan the QR code in the attached image to register if you want to attend.

  • The Speech and Debate Team meets Mondays - Thursdays in Room D105 - new members are always welcome. Stop by and see Mr. Rankin to learn more.

  • Conservation Club meets every Monday from 3:30-4:30 in room C302. If you're interested in saving species by planting flowers and testing water quality, or you're interested in going on field trips that include boating on the Mississippi River or hiking through forests, join us!!

  • Chess Club meets every Wednesday after school in the Cafeteria

  • German Club meets every Tuesday in January in D-270 from 3:30-4:15.
