Mark Twain Update

Dear Mark Twain Families,

I hope this communication finds you and your family safe and healthy. As you may have heard, Governor Reynolds has announced that schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year.

As we move into our next stage of learning, teachers will be creating lessons around NEW learning for students. In order to support this new learning, Mark Twain teachers have established “office hours” so that they can be available to families for at least five hours each week. Classroom teachers have shared their hours with families in their communication about next week’s learning. You may still contact teachers through email, Google classrooms, or dojo (preschool) at any time.

Office hours will give you and your children an option to get support when your child engages in weekly learning activities. Our Title I teachers, Academic Interventionists, and other support teachers are available to help you as well. This document lists all Mark Twain teachers’ hours so that you can contact any teacher for assistance. In addition, many of our para educators will be available to help students who would like support on ST Math and Lexia. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

Remember, if you need printed materials, please contact the office at 563-359-8263 to make an appointment to pick them up. If you are having technology issues you can email support@bettendorf.k12.ia. and someone will get in touch with you.

Our goal is to make sure your students have the support they need to continue their learning. Please let us know how we can help you!
